Thiruvilwamala campus houses three colleges, namely Nehru college of Engineering and Research Centre, School of Management and Nehru College of Pharmacy. In the year 2008, Jawaharlal college of Engineering & Technology has been started to fulfill the urgent needs of our state. B.Tech Degree Course in Aeronautical Engineering has been started in this College. This is the first college in our state to start B.Tech Degree course in Aeronautical Engineering. Beside this, B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer science & Engineering have started functioning. All have been approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Calicut.
Presently 240 students have been admitted in this College. We aspire to introduce PG courses in all these branches, MCA and MBA courses in due courses. Introduction of B.Tech Degree Course in Aerospace Engineering & Civil Engineering is also in our agenda. This is a Hi-Tech college running on Wi Fi mode. Adequate numbers of facility inducted in this College and is running in full swing. It pleases me immedialtly to note that all the 240 seats have been filled although we started the college a little bit late
Simultaneously we gave started Jawaharlal institute of Technology at Coimbatore. Thus our commitment towards imparting high level technical education is reaching the crescendo.
I am happy to note that Dr.K. Raghavan Nambiar, the illustrious Academician of international repute is the Director Academic & Advisor of this College. The Principal of this college Dr.A.S. Devaraja is a very talented Aeronautical Engineer and committed professor of great reputation. All the Faculty are extremely talented and capable and this is another strong point of this Hi-Tech College.
I advise all the students to acquire adequate knowledge and expertise in their chosen fields, uphold moral values and ethics and bring laurels of themselves, to this College and to the Nation.
